IREM Kansas City serves real estate professionals who manage multi-family and commercial real estate. We have been an integral force in the Kansas City region since 1948. The Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2008. For more than seven decades, IREM has been the source for education, resources, information and membership for real estate management professionals. IREM is the only professional real estate management association serving both the multi-family and commercial real estate sector.
As a global organization, IREM brings real estate management professionals together from all over the world. With a network spanning 81 U.S. chapters, eight international chapters and several other global partnerships, our membership comprises over 18,000 individual members and 500 corporate members worldwide.

IREM September 16th Luncheon Meeting: IREM Kansas City is excited to host Jason Klumb, Regional Administrator for the General Services Administration (GSA) Heartland Region. Jason, the areas largest landlord, will speak to IREM members about the GSAs current activities in Kansas City and their future plans for growth. As regional GSA administrator, Klumb oversees 400 government-owned or leased buildings in four states, 1,000 employees and a $175 million budget. Cost $25 per person. *IREM Leadership Attends National Conference: In mid-August, several IREM Board Members attended the IREM National Leadership Conference in Chicago, Illinois for two intense days of meeting, planning, and networking. Our Chapter, a top rated 5 Star Chapter, took away several great talking points about intergenerational differences in the work place as well as a strong foundation for our 2011 activities. We are well positioned for another great year next year.
Friends of IREM in Action: A special thank goes out to Mid-America Contractors who sweated over the hot grill to cook delicious hamburgers and hotdogs for the group of fifty. A fun time was had by all as IREM helped cheer the T-Bones to victory, taking a sixth straight series with a 7-3 win that included four home runs. We would also like to thank Major Painting, our featured golf tournament sponsor along with all other tournament sponsors, players and volunteers who made this annual event a tremendous success. Glidden Professional (formally ICI Paints) recently donated enough paint to cover the exterior of a local Habitat for Humanity house. We thank them for their participation.

IREM Awards 2010 Fall Scholarship
This fall IREM Kansas City Chapter will accept scholarship applications for students interested in pursuing a degree in real estate and who attend UMKC.
